dreamstimefree_689601If you have insomnia it is essential that you get help as soon as possible.  Having insomnia makes your life a living nightmare.  It not only affects your life but also affects the lives of everyone around you, as well as all of your work and personal relationships.

Your performance at work, home or school is greatly affected.  Scientific studies have proven that your ability to concentrate and your reaction time significantly decrease if you are suffering from sleep deprivation.  If this is happening to you it is very dangerous and can lead to accidents or even fatalities.  One example of an area that is of raising concern is driving while tired.  A greater number of car accidents are being recorded now than ever before due to the driver being tired or falling asleep at the wheel.  This can be life threatening to you, your passengers and other people on the road.

When you have insomnia you also have increased clumsiness, this is not only when you are driving but also when you are doing anything throughout the day.  By having increased clumsiness you have a greater chance of being injured by accident.  These accidents can be minor at best or much worse.  These accidents are a direct result of you not having enough sleep and if you have sleep deprivation you need to take extra care though out the day.

When you have insomnia making the smallest decisions can seem like a major hurdle.  Tasks that should be easily managed can turn into a difficult stressful situation that you just can’t seem to handle.  This is a very normal reaction for someone who has insomnia and makes living a normal life very challenging and much more stressful.

When we don’t get enough sleep our bodies can’t function properly.  We need sleep so that our brain can repair and replenishes our body and mind.  If we don’t get enough sleep our nervous and immune systems are under a lot more strain and we are more likely to get sick.  This in turn leads to you feeling even worse.

The way you handle stressful situations is also greatly affected by sleep deprivation.  By not being able to handle stressful situations you are increasing the amount of stress in your life and as a result you end up have more difficulty getting a good night’s sleep.  Unless you take measures to deal with your insomnia you will be in a never ending stress cycle and the quality of your life and the lives of those around you will be adversely affected.

If all of the above reasons haven’t already convinced you that you have to do something about your insomnia, then how about making a change for the better because you are constantly feeling terrible?  You’re tired and sluggish throughout the day and feel like you’re walking around in a daze.  That is no way to live!  If you think that insomnia is a problem for you then you need to get some help, and the sooner the better.  By getting help you will be amazed at how the quality of your life increases.  It’s like going form an old black and white TV to a new 3D wide screen with surround sound.
